Default rune recommendations?

newbie Rit, just got to KC and got my max armor, so it's time to rune up.
the sticky guide seems to indicate that you should go for health (vigor+vitae)
right now I seem to be having more energy issues (some of those spirits are 25e), so should I complement with radiant?

Energy management is far more important than a high energy pool. Spirit rits have some very nice energy management skills, the best of which i'd say is Spirit Siphon. Even at moderate levels of channeling it gives great energy returns. Spread the spirits out a little and you'll have no problem using it on each one (it uses the spirit closest to you so if you spread spirits out a little you can move to each one and use siphon several times very quickly).

For PvE so long as your HP is around 500 or higher (my opinion) you should be fine. I usually run with 520-555hp depending on what armour i have on and what build i'm running.

It's all about finding the balence you're happy with between energy and HP. If you find you never seem to go below 50% energy then you can probably afford to lose some and increase hp instead. If you're always running out of energy then you need a bit more e-management and maybe a higher energy pool. Or maybe the builds you're using aren't very user friendly. Spamming 25e spirits with no means of regaining a good chunk of the energy isn't going to work very well past the first few seconds of a battle.

If you post the build you're using we can probably throw a few suggestions at you to make things work more smoothly.

since I'm just beginning I haven't specialized my build, I'm trying things out and trying out skills as I have access to them (no elite yet for example), which makes it harder to get the "right" combo.

I also get bored with a single build, so I expect to alternate between spirit spamming, channeling damage build and some for of MM/MB. I don;t intend to be a pure support/heal build though, that's what my Monk is for.

Also I don't want to invest in multiple sets of armor yet, so I'm going for something rounded (maybe I should have put all this in my first post)

I bought the wrong headpiece, and got a +1 Spawning power. I may change it but for now I'm thinking about going+1 on all attributes until I figure out what I really like.

I think I may go with the following:

HEAD: +1 spawning form the headpiece itself +1 communing rune
CHEST: Radiant (+3e) and Minor Vigor (because I have one in storage) +41h
ARMS: Survivor (+15h) and +1 Resto
LEGS: Radiant (+2e) and +1 Channeling
Feet Survivor (+5h) and Vitae (+10h)

If I got he math right that gets me at 541 health and 35 energy before weapon/focus bonuses.

This is the 1st time I go +1 on all attribute like this, maybe it's not worth it but at least the runes are cheap.

You mentioned you want to be able to do everything.

My advice is to make 3 head pieces for now. One 1+1 Channeling (Or Super, if you prefer) and 1+1 Communing (Again, Super if you like), and a 1+1 Restore.

Then have a +1 spawning rune somewhere on your armor as a universal for any headpiece.

Later you'll want to have more armor pieces to always have the right runes and whatnot.

As for insignias, if you'll always be using at least 2 spirits, I would go shaman's. Drop radiants entirely and bring energy management.

Also, most rit builds are support/heal (Channeling/Restore) They will run splinter weapon and ancestor's rage along with life and mend body & soul, etc.
